a few, a little, a lot of, lots of

+ a lot of /lots of

She's very popular. She's got a lot of friends. (C)
I've got a lot of experience in looking after children. (UC)

Be careful! We don't usually use a lot of / lots of in negative sentences and questions! 

I don't have many friends, but I don't mind. I prefer true and deep friendships. 
We don't have much flour. I think we should go to the supermarket if we want to make some muffins. 

a few (C)
- Are there any dogs in your street?
- Yes, there are a few

- What can we put in the salad?
- Well... there are a few tomatoes in the fridge and some mayonnaise. 

a little (UC)
- Does your knee hurt?
- Just a little.

- How much milk is there in the kitchen?
- Just a little. Would you like to put some in your coffee?
